The Crazy Life

This week I took on a total of 30 hours babysitting while juggling midterms and a 4 day school week. I am glad that is over! I found myself needing strength to get through each day. I am so thankful for everything God has provided this week, from teachers lightening assignments, to extra energy to make it through the day. I'm reminded of Isaiah 41:10 which says, "'Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand." This verse is so comforting! I know that I didn't go through this week alone. God encouraged and strengthened me all week, and will continue to as I walk with Him. I didn't stress out when I normally would because I was given a peace that no one can give but my creator. I praise God for all he has done in my life!

Sorry for the late post. It has been a crazy busy week!
This past week I have been overwhelmed over and over from school and the normal demands of life. I find myself worrying about the future far too many times. It's a real struggle that I know many deal with. Not worrying and trusting God is in control is way easier said than done. One way I have found in dealing with worry and stress is removing myself from the situation and bringing my concerns to God. The more time I spend in his presence, through prayer, song, reading his word, or just simply being, the more time I have to get what needs to be done, done. The more I sit with God, the more peace he pours into me.
I encourage you to do the same; sit in His presence. You may find it more pleasurable than you expected. He takes care of your every need and cares about you!
Matthew 11:28-30
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give is light."

Flooding!

My life is constantly changing! Its crazy how God's plan for my life can take me to many places I never imagined going. Where He calls me, I'll go. He brings people into my life when He knows I need them most. I'm so grateful for all the people I've met over the last 2 1/2 years and the friends who have challenged, encouraged, and help shape my relationship with God.

We all have a purpose, whether we realize what that purpose is or not. Every person we interact with is impacted by our actions towards them and others. God can use that in powerful ways, as I have discovered. This was brought to my attention when I moved churches. I had set an example for a friend on what true love really means, which got her out of an unhealthy relationship. This could only happen with constant communication with God. As he feeds into our lives, that spills over into other lives. 

From that experience, I am encouraged to pray that God would continue to show himself through me. As my life keeps changing and I meet new people, I don't ever want to lose the relationship I have with my creator. I hope that my relationship is obvious to everyone I come into contact with.
